Indian Forest Service probationers call on Vice-President

The 76 Probationers of Indian Forest Service (IFS) of 2013-15 batch called on the Vice President M. Hamid Ansari here today.

These include 28 female probationers and 48 male probationers including 2 female probationers from Bhutan.

The Vice President was introduced to the probationers by R.K. Goel, Director, Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun. The senior officers of Ministry of Environment and Forests were also present on the occasion.

The Vice President interacted with the probationers on important issues of environment protection, climate change and global warming.

He said that the environment protection and preservation of forests are very important issues. He called upon the probationers to work more responsibly with new practices towards the protection of forests for better environment.

 

These probationers are in the national capital to participate in an appreciation course in 'Parliamentary Processes and Procedures' at Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training. Presently they are undergoing training at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun under Ministry of Environment and Forests.
