Indian govt approves visa for poet Iqbal's grandson

The Indian government has reportedly approved visa for Allama Iqbal's grandson and two Pakistani scholars of the poet's works to attend a celebration in Kolkata organized in honour of the prodigy who penned India's national song.

As per media reports, Waleed Iqbal will represent his father Javed Iqbal at the function on May 29.

The other two scholars, Rafiuddin Hashmi and Khalid Nadeem, will also attend functions to celebrate Rabindranath Tagore, Iqbal's contemporary and author of India's national anthem.
