New Delhi [India], June 20 (ANI): Lauding Indian Cinema for its hard-hitting content and cinematography, Charge D'affaires of the Russian Embassy Anatoly Kargapolov recently said that Indian movies are extremely popular in Russia and are watched by many back home.
While talking exclusively to ANI, Anatoly said, "For us it's very important to have Indian movies to be shown in Russia because we have deep respect for Indian cinema and Russians love to watch Indian movies. I am sure that the Indian films which will be shown at the 39th Moscow International film festival will be warmly received by Russian audience."
"We are very glad that Indian movies are opening the prestigious film festival. It underlines that Indian movie and the Indian cinematography is very warmly received in Russia and it shows that Indian movies are extremely popular in Russia," he added.
Anatoly Kargapolov, Indian Film Festival Worldwide (IFFW) Co-Curators Rc Dalal, Rahul Bali and Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover, yesterday attended the Curtain Raiser press conference of the 39th Moscow International Film Festival.
Some of the finest Indian movies such as 'Baahubali: The Beginning', 'Badman', 'A Death in the Gunj', 'BeyYaar', 'U Turn', 'Kothanodi' and 'Baahubali 2 -The conclusion' will be screened at the festival. S. S. Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali 2' and Gulshan Grover's mockumentary feature film 'Badman' would be the opening films at the prestigious Moscow Film Festival.
The festival scheduled to be held on June 22- 29 at Moscow would see the presence S .S. Rajamouli and Gulshan Grover, who would represent the Indian Film fraternity amongst a galaxy of film stars from Russia and across the world.
