Indian shuttler Sourabh Verma clinched the Men's Singles title at the Chinese Taipei Open badminton, defeating Malaysia's Daren Liew in the summit clash of the Grand Prix tournament in Taipei City on Sunday.
23-year-old Sourbah, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, was on a comeback trail after spending almost a year on the sidelines due to elbow and knee injuries last year.
Sourabh rallied to grab the first two games 12-10 and 12-10 and emerged victorious after his opponent Liew retired at 3-3 owing to a problematic shoulder.
