Indo-Bangladesh security officials hold meeting to discuss border crimes

Officials of India's Border Security Force and the Border Guards Bangladesh held a meeting in New Delhi to discuss border related crimes and other issues.

Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh Major General Aziz Ahmed led the 20-member delegation to jointly chair the 39th Border Co-ordination Conference.

The 23-member Indian delegation was led by the BSF Director General D. K. Pathak.

The forces agreed to implement a coordinated border management plane to curb menace of trans-border crimes.

The two sides have also decided to increase joint security and patrolling along the border to curb smuggling and bring down border killings.
