At least 27 persons on Thursday were killed and 35 were injured in a firecracker factory which caught fire in the western area of Indonesia's capital of Jakarta.
A firecracker factory in Tangerang on the outskirts of Jakarta caught fire, leaving 27 workers dead and 35 others wounded, reported Xinhua quoting firefighter official as saying.
The fire was allegedly triggered by short circuit.
All the injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The factory had been operating since the last two months, media reports said.
Media images of the PT Panca Buana Cahaya Sukses warehouse showed smoldering ashes and debris.
