The search and rescue officials said that they fear there will be no survivors in the Indonesian passenger plane crash incident that took place near Jakarta on October 29.
Earlier, the officials recovered six bodies from the sea where the Lion Air flight JT 610 carrying 189 passengers, including six cabin crew members and two pilots on board, crashed.
CNN quoted Bambang Suryo Aji, director of operations for Basarnas as saying, "My prediction is that no one survived because we only managed to retrieve body parts."
"The rescue workers had found debris appearing to be the plane's tail. The main wreckage had still not been located," he added.
According to the region's national search and rescue agency Basarnas, the aircraft disappeared from radar just 13 minutes after takeoff.
Giving out more details about the rescue operations undertaken by the authorities, Aji said that the team is working against high waves and strong currents, in a region spanning 150 nautical miles, CNN reported.
