Persistent eruptions from Indonesia's Mount Raung have stalled Bali-bound flights following meteorological warnings that the westerlies would send dangerous ash clouds over Denpasar .
According to the BBC, the grounding of Virgin Australia and Jetstar flights have brought bring bad news for people travelling to Bali.
The airport authorities have warned travelers not to travel to Denpasar airport without a confirmed rebooked flight.
The ash is expected to hang over the island for the next couple of days.
Flights in and out of Bali have been irregular since early July because of continued eruptions from Mount Raung.
