Are you amongst those who have almost hopped every fine dining space in the Delhi-NCR? Is there nothing left to enchant your savour for authentic Indian cuisine?

If yes, then the finesse and urban elegance of the Indian speciality restaurant 'Kheer' is yet to surprise your taste palette.

Introduced by the Roseate Hotels & Resorts, the newly opened 'Kheer' is an Indian speciality restaurant which is proudly and unabashedly the largest fine dining space of its kind.

Offering good and wholesome Indian food with a refreshing change, the property is designed by Nariyoshi Muramatsu, who is famous for giving Zuma restaurants their global identity.

Kheer is a vibrant North-Indian cuisine inspired restaurant that boasts swanky vibes in its interiors. Divided into a lounge, island bar and restaurant, the property has modern-chic interior, which is decorated in tones and tunes that turns the restaurant into a fiesta by the night.

"Kheer marks a significant milestone in the fine dining space for gourmands in the capital which will delight every diner's palate. It has always been the brand's endeavour to keep reinventing itself and hope to continue bringing new and exciting gastronomic experiences for our guests globally," believes area general manager Roseate Hotels & Resorts, Kush Kapoor.

With a seating capacity of over 250 guests, the restaurant incites huge choir of temple bells above an almost-royal table, a traditional but kitschy upholstery, that perfectly suits the places vibe.

The kitchen area, however, manifests a spice wall that contains big jars of all authentic Indian spices.

From exquisite Indian cuisine, to the best of street food, the restaurant offers something for everyone.

Items such as Palak Patta Chaat, Gucchi (morel stuffed with wild mushroom, grated khoya and cheddar cheese), Kasundi Machi (galangal and Bengali mustard marinated sole), Meen Pollichathu (sea bass wrapped in banana leaf), Chukundar Chilgoze ki Tikki (beet and pine nut croquettes, beet chutney), and Subz Ki Seekh (English vegetable kebab) are a must have if you are visiting the place for the first time.

If you want to binge on meats then Murgh Kolhapuri (Maharashtrian Delicacy), Murgh Tikka (hot chicken tikka terrine served with sour cream and pickled onion), Machalee (raw tuna with chopped onions, tomatoes, gari ginger and mustard oil) and Barra Kebab (New Zealand lamb chop served with tomato garlic chutney) will not only serve your appetite, but will also feed your soul.

Amongst the most desired are Machalee, which is essentially raw tuna with chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger and mustard oil, and the Chukundar Chilgoze ki Tikki, which is beetroot tikki served with beetroot chutney.

Offering larger than life portions, the menu goes back and forth between the states, from the coast, Bengal and other parts of India, including the dominant North.

The food delivery from the kitchen to your tables is quick, which is good.

In terms of presentation, this place scores a deal as the North Indian affair is ethnic and old-style, yet presented in a modern way.

The main course includes the usual Yellow Dal, Nadru Palak, Dal Makhni, Paneer Kesar e Pukhtan, Dal Dhungar and Murgh Kohlapuri that is best complimented with the Indian assortments including a variety of Pizza Roti, Butter Naan, Sheermal, Bakarkhani, Reshmi and Achari kulcha.

The fine dining restaurant is sure not to disappoint you with the quality of service staff either. From a smiling Chef to other service men, the place is friendly and prompt.

To end the rendezvous at this lush dining, one must indulge in what this place serves the best, i.e 'Kheer'.

Fledged with wholesome flavours, the dessert is available in three types including Gil-e-firdaus, Ras Kheer and Javvarisi Payasam, which are prepared from bottle guard, jaggery and tapioca (Sabudana).

However, if Kheer leaves some space for guilty pleasures, then one can also indulge in Kulfis to cater the sweet tooth.

A relaxed yet pulsating vibe, 'Kheer' is a perfect weekend getaway to enjoy good food and impressive interiors with quality food and drinks that fits the bill just about everybody.

Overall, the place is convincing enough and scores high on expectations and the bar of value for money.
