Industry favors 'WIN INDIA 2015' to encourage global ties: FICCI

In a recent announcement, FICCI joined hands with Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India to execute the partnership for 'WIN India 2015'. This partnership will function to work jointly towards promoting India's high tech engineering and capital goods manufacturing industry as a part of Government of India's 'Make In India' campaign.

Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd and Fiera Milano Group (Italy) announced India's leading Industrial and engineering trade fair to be schedule from 9 December at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

To formalize the collaboration, Rajan Katoch, Secretary, DHI, Government of India, said "The government is poised to announce the first ever 'National Capital Goods Policy', which will be formalized by November".

"India is an attractive hub for foreign investments in manufacturing sector. Several companies have set up or are looking to establish their manufacturing bases in India. Department of Heavy Industries will be the strategic partner of WIN India 2015 with support from FICCI, where both the organizations will together work towards strengthening the Indian manufacturing sector thereby making PM's vision of Make in India a reality", Katoch added.

"The Make in India initiative has generated tremendous positive sentiment and interest from global investors. It is estimated that between April 2014 and February 2015, foreign direct investment in India reached 28.8 billion US dollars. WIN India has been successfully working towards the mission of creating more interest in India as a long-term production location for 8 years now.

Mehul Lanvers-Shah, Managing Director, Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd. said "We are very happy to extend all our support to our partners and are thankful that they have chosen WIN India as the platform of choice for the sector."

He further added that "The show is an ideal platform to showcase India's high tech engineering and capital goods companies that brings State Governments and other local and global players together to develop the industry."

The show occupies an area of 11000 sq. metres and will showcase exhibitors from 27 countries. Participations from Germany, Italy, China, Taiwan and Korea are most expected. Some of the key highlights of the fair will be companies like Festo, Camozzi, Jungheinrich, Hyundai forklifts, Hi-tech robotics, Phoenix Contact, Nord Systems, Gandhi Automation among others.
