A sex doll has been launched into space by an adult entertainment company.

The sex doll named Missy was launched by CNV from Lake Tahoe and was suspended from a weather balloon, the Mirror reported.

The doll rose at a speed of nearly 400 metres per minute and reached an altitude of 31,090m before it burst.

The company had adapted her design to ensure she did not explode completely during the descent, with an adapted air plug allowing her to equalize her pressure.

However, her arms were torn off and she suffered extensive damage to her right leg when she landed in the Nevada desert.
