Two-time Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso has been reportedly making a solid recovery after crashing his McLaren-Honda in the final day of pre-season testing in Barcelona on Sunday.
According to the BBC, McLaren team stated that Alonso underwent a thorough and complete analysis and the results were completely normal.
Alonso hit the wall on the exit of the 150 miles-per-hour Turn Three at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which is one of Formula One's most demanding corners.
Additionally, the Spaniard's McLaren team confirmed that the accident was due to the unpredictable 'gusty winds', adding that there was no evidence his car suffered mechanical failure of any kind.
Alonso will remain in hospital for further observation.
