In a move to help Instagrammers improve their profile, Instagram introduced 'Focus' for users to click instant portraits.
In a detailed blog post, Instagram announced that the new feature would be available on iPhone SE, 6S, 6S+, 7, 7+, 8, 8+ and X, along with select Android devices.
Instagrammers can find the new option next to "Superzoom" under the record button. Once a picture is clicked, it can be seen that the subject of the photo is in focus, while the background softly blurs, thus making sure the person in frame gets a striking portrait. Users can then enhance the image with filters, stickers and text before sharing as a message or Story.
Instagram noted that the update will be available as part of the app's latest version 39.0 for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play.
The app developers are also rolling out mention sticker on iOS, making it easier to for users to connect with their friends via Insta Stories.
After the image is clicked from the stories camera, a user may open the sticker's tray, tap the @mention sticker, and start typing the name of the account to be mentioned. This can then be rotated, scaled and placed wherever required.
