Instagram's direct messaging feature which allows you to privately chat with friends or group of friends seems to be headed to the web version of the photo and video sharing service.
The Facebook-owned service was discovered testing out the feature by software engineer Jane Manchun Wong who shared a screenshot of the prototype.
Based on the image shared by Jane, the interface appears to be the same as on the mobile app, but it looks like the support is being built for the mobile browser and not desktop version immediately.
In a separate tweet, Jane also shared a screenshot of Direct on Web for desktop, but succeeded it with another tweet saying the prototype has been disabled. It isn't clear as to when the official roll out of the feature will be extended to the masses.
