According to the medical charity Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF), the international reaction to the Ebola outbreak has been 'lethally inadequate' and the western nations are only preventing the occurrence of the disease in their countries.
MSF authorities said that a global military interference will be needed to prevent a further spread of the largest outbreak in West Africa.
The international president of MSF said in a speech to the UN that all calls for help had been ignored.
She said that the world is ignoring West Africa and losing the battle to prevent the disease.
At least 1,550 people have died 3,000 infected with the virus in West Africa.
According to the United Nations, more than 20,000 people are likely affected.
