Federal investigators are digging for possibly more sex tapes of rapper R. Kelly allegedly involving underage girls.
According to TMZ, rumours around the reported sex tapes were circulating since 2008 when the rapper went on trial for child porn charges. However, sex tapes haven't been found yet.
This probe by Northern District is an entirely new case that Illinois is building against Kelly who is reportedly, caught in two separate US Attorney probes- one is being conducted by the Eastern District of New York while the other by the Southern district.
Parties having links with Kelly are being contacted by the federal prosecutors in the US Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois.
Meanwhile, the US Attorney's office hasn't yet commented on the issue.
R. Kelly's attorney, Steven Greenberg said on the issue, "The purpose of this, as with all investigations, is to see if there was or was not wrongdoing. It certainly does not mean there was.
