Investigators have reportedly concluded that the missing Malaysian Airline passenger jet had been hijacked.

The passenger jet went missing last week on Saturday after 40 minutes of take off from Kuala Lumpur enroute to Beijing and since then, various theories have emerged trying to make sense of the mysterious disappearance.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, it is now believed that one or more people with significant flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, switched off communication devices and steered it off-course.

Although, there hasn't been any evidence proving that the plane was hijacked, however, the data collected from satellite signals about the flight's path indicated that the plane's communications were deliberately switched off to make it undetectable.

The Boeing 777 continued to send satellite signals hours after going off radar on Saturday, and data suggested that it might have turned back toward and crossed over the Malaysian peninsula after setting out on a north-eastern path toward the Chinese capital.

The Flight MH370 with 239 people on board is suspected to have crashed into the Indian Ocean.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak is expected to hold a press conference today to possibly announce the hijack.
