Former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq has backed the International Cricket Council's proposal to limit the next World Cup in 2019 to a 10-team showpiece tournament.
In a column for the ICC, Inzamam opined that there was a talk of a 10-team ICC World Cup in 2019, adding that he was all in favour of the proposal, Stuff.co.nz reported.
According to Inzamam, the associate teams should be given a minimum of 10-12 matches a year against the test-playing nations in order to gain the ranking points required for direct qualification.
