Iran External Affairs Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is on a two-day visit to India to boost mutual cooperation on energy, port and transit of goods, met Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari here on Friday.
Zarif is in India to hold bilateral talks as well as regional and international issues with the country's officials during his visit.
The two nations will boost cooperation in the fields of oil and banking.
Earlier on Thursday, Zarif, while addressing a memorial lecture in the national capital, accused the United States of intimidating and using pressure to thwart Tehran's nuclear programme.
Zarif lashed out at the foreign policy of the U.S. of using 'force' and said that it would never work against any state, citing examples of Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
