Iran is ready to sign a deal that respected the nuclear rights and interests of Iranians, the Islamic Republic's foreign minister has said.

On arriving in the Austrian capital of Vienna on Saturday, Mohammad-Javad Zarif said that a deal will be reached if the other party was willing to recognise Iranians' rights, lift sanctions, fulfil its commitments and not make excessive demands, reported Xinhua.

He also added that time was not important but a good deal and appropriate result was.

He will meet U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry before joining the talks with his European, Russian and Chinese counterparts to make a final rush for a potential nuclear deal before June 30.

The statements came after Zarif said on Friday that he would go to Vienna to "secure a fair and lasting deal.
