A 4-member Iranian parliamentary delegation, as part of the Iran-India Parliamentary Friendship Group, visited India for three days from February 26.
During the visit, the delegation called on External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj and held discussions with Parliamentary Standing Committee on Energy, a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) read.
"On the sidelines of the visit, the Iranian delegation visited the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, (Pusa Campus) New Delhi for an interactive session," the statement added.
The visit was held in the context of the promotion of parliamentary exchanges between the two countries and comes after the recently concluded three-day visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani from February 15-17.
