The Islamic State (IS) has claimed the responsibility for Sunday night's Las Vegas concert shooting in which at least 50 people lost their lives and over 400 persons were injured.

The IS purported that the gunman Stephen Paddock converted to Islam several months ago and carried out the attack. The terror outfit, however, offered no evidence for the same.

The Police found Paddock dead along with a cache of weapons, including 10 rifles inside his room.

Police is of the view that Paddock killed himself prior to their entry, reported CNN quoting Sheriff , Lombardo as saying.

The U.S. Homeland Security Department says there is no "specific credible threat" involving other public venues in the U.S. after the shooting

President Donald Trump has offered his condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims.

Trump is to speak after the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history which took place at a country music festival opposite the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort on the Las Vegas Strip at the Jason Aldean concert.
