The Islamic State (IS) militants have released almost 350 members of the minority Yazidi religious community in Iraq's northern area.
According to BBC, most of the people freed were elderly Yazidis who were received by Kurdish soldiers near the city of Kirkuk.
However, the militants did not state any reason as to why they released them.
IS militants started attacking the religious minority community in Iraq last year wherein thousands have been killed and abducted.
All of those received on Saturday were either ill or elderly.
