The Islamic State (IS) militant group has slaughtered 13 teenagers for watching a football match between Iraq and Jordan on television in the Iraqi city of Mosul.

According to the Daily Express, the young children were rounded up in front of crowds before they were shot dead by IS militants who used machine guns, said the anti-Islamic State group 'Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently'.

The group said that the bodies continued to lie in the open as their parents feared they would be killed if they withdrew them.

Before the kids were brutally killed, the group announced via a loudspeaker that watching football would be breaking religious laws.

A masked jihadist explained their crimes using a small handheld radio saying that the men were guilty of engaging in homosexual activities and should be punished to death.
