Several universities in Pakistan's capital Islamabad were cordoned off following a security alert on Wednesday.
The universities were cordoned off by the Law enforcement agencies following the terror alert.
Security has been deployed on campuses.
"No individual is allowed to enter or leave the campus buildings," the Express Tribune quoted a source as saying.
"Not even the employees are allowed to enter the varsities in their vehicles," the source added.
Following the terror alert, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has reportedly supervised security arrangements at the campuses.
The universities include National University of Modern Languages (NUML), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Quaid-e-Azam University and Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU).
