Big-serving American John Isner claimed a stunning win over world number three Roger Federer to reach the quarterfinals of the Paris Masters.
Isner smashed 27 aces as he overcame the Swiss maestro 7-6 (7/3), 3-6, 7-6 (7/5) in a thrilling contest to set up a quarterfinal clash against David Ferrer, Sport24 reported.
Federer, who had bagged his seventh Swiss Indoors Basel title last week, wrestled his way back to clinch the second set before falling in the nail-biting tie-breaker.
