Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Iran's President Hassan Rouhani of 'hypocrisy' over that country's nuclear programme.

According to Fox News, Netanyahu accused Iranian forces of participating in the slaughter of civilians in Syria, carrying out terrorist attacks around the world, and offering no plans to halt its nuclear programme.

The statement came after Rouhani said his nation was ready for negotiations over its suspected nuclear programme and called for peace and moderation.

Netanyahu also claimed that the Iranian intention was to talk and buy time in order to advance its ability to produce nuclear weapons.
