Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to block Iran from obtaining an atomic bomb, calling the Iran deal a mistake of "historic proportions".

According to the Washington Times, the strong rection of Netanyahu was echoed across the political spectrum in Israel.

Israel is highly concerned about its arch enemy Iran acquiring nuclear weapons to use against Israel.

Iran already backs militant groups that attack Israel and its leaders frequently have referred to Israel's destruction in the past.
