Shah Rukh Khan's most awaited flick 'Raees', which was scheduled to clash with Salman Khan's 'Sultan' on Eid this year, will now hit the theaters on January 26, 2017.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news by tweeting, "It's OFFICIAL! SRK starrer #Raees shifted to 26 January 2017... Official statement in next tweet..."
"It was not an easy decision to move the film. We understand that #Raees is highly anticipated. However, a film of such magnitude requires the appropriate showcasing and therefore, we have decided to shift our release date to 26 January, 2017. Ritiesh Sidhwani Shah Rukh Khan Farhan Akhtar," reads the official statement.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, the upcoming thriller will narrate the story of the bootlegger Raees Khan whose business is highly challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer,
Set in the state of Gujarat, the film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
