The whole Microsoft Theatre was left in shock when they saw former White house Press Secretary Sean Spicer when he stepped off stage following a surprise appearance during host Stephen Colbert's opening monologue at 2017 Emmy Awards.
While talking about how his appearance came together, Spicer who attended the official Governors Ball afterparty, said, "I had a conversation with Stephen [Colbert] and his executive producer. They came up with a concept, and I thought it was kinda funny. I said I'd be there."
The 45-year-old Spicer also shared that it was an honour attending and participating at this year's Emmy awards.
He added, "I have a lot of respect for folks who do what they do in film and on television, so it's a real honor to be invited."
The concept that came to life saw Spicer push out a podium and declare on live television that "this will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys. Period. Both in person and around the world."
He also offered his gratitude to the host for the Emmys invitation on his official Instagram profile.

"Thanks to Stephen Colbert for having me at this year's Emmys," wrote Spicer.
As for all the positive reactions he has been getting, the former communication director in Trump cabinet shared that he is still not able to digest it.
