Jammu and Kashmir activist Rashneek Kher on Friday condemned India's move on holding talks with Pakistan saying that he is content with the Ministry of External Affairs' advice to Pakistan not to meet Hurriyat leaders ahead of NSA- level talks

He said that the Hurriyat is still a non-entity in Kashmir, and so, India should not hold talks with it.

"I will be very happy to note that they have told them that you should not meet them simply for this reason that Hurriyat is a non-entity even in Kashmir today. If the Hurriyat was not an entity, then people would not have come out and voted in large numbers despite the Hurriyat warning people not to vote," Kher told ANI here.

The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday advised Pakistan not to meet the Hurriyat leaders ahead of NSA- level talks here.

The MEA said: "India has advised Pakistan yesterday that it would not be appropriate for Mr. Sartaz Aziz to meet with Hurriyat representatives in India."

MEA said that such a meeting would not be in keeping with the spirit and intent of the Ufa understanding to jointly work to combat terrorism.

Pakistan has invited separatist Hurriyat leaders to meet with Sartaj Aziz, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Adviser on Foreign Affairs and National Security in Delhi.
