J-K: BSF guns down Pak intruder

The Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down a suspected Pakistani intruder on Sunday in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.

The incident took place at 6:30 am at the Bobiya border outpost in Hiranagar sector, when personnel of the 173 battalion of the BSF noticed a person entering inside the Indian territory. The security personnel warned the 'intruder' who did not respond, following which he was gunned down.

The body of the suspected Pakistani intruder was recovered by the security personnel and was taken to the Hiranagar hospital for postmortem. Pakistani currency was recovered from his possession.

The identity of the intruder is yet to be confirmed.
