J-K Govt. to provide six months free ration to flood victims, says Omar Abdullah

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday announced free ration for six months and an initial installment of Rs 75,000 would be provided to those who lost their houses in the flood.

He also said that Rs 100 crore each for both Jammu and Srinagar will be used from State Disaster Funds for rescue and relief operations.

"A delegation of six cabinet ministers has been sent to Delhi to meet the Prime Minister with a memorandum. I have called an All Party Meeting at 11 AM tomorrow in order to discuss situation with senior leaders," said Abdullah.

Over 1,27,000 people have been so far rescued by the Armed Forces and NDRF from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir in the ongoing rescue and relief operations in the flood ravaged State.
