Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Jitendra Singh, on Friday said the Jammu and Kashmir Government has promised to take concrete steps against anti-India activities in the state.
"As far as the BJP is concerned, we are clear about our stand. We have expressed our concern to the state government and they have assured us a fair investigation. They have promised to take concrete steps over the issue to make sure that such instances are not repeated," said Singh.
Earlier on Wednesday, separatist leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq's supporters raised Pakistani flag s at a rally in Srinagar's old city area.
The rally was reportedly held on the eve of death anniversary of Farooq's father.
Separatist leader Masarat Alam had earlier sparked a controversy for raising of pro- Pakistan slogans at a rally attended by him on April
17.
Alam was later arrested in the case registered in the Budgam Police Station in connection with his provocative actions during the rally.
