Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who is contesting from the Sonawar assembly segment of Srinagar in the assembly elections, on Sunday shared his voting experience on Twitter.
"Seven months ago when dad came out after voting for himself, he quipped that he'd done a selfie, I guess now I've done a selfie as well," Omar tweeted.
The Chief Minister, who is also contesting from Beerwah this time, today expressed confidence that the people of the state would reward him with their votes for the good work done by the National Conference Government.
The polling, which began at 8 a.m. on a dull note due to chilly weather conditions and fog in the morning, has started picking up in 16 assembly segments spread over three districts of Srinagar, Anantnag and Shopian in the fourth phase of five-phased elections.
In this phase, the polling is being held in 18 assembly segments.
The concerned authorities have made unprecedented security arrangements for free, fair and peaceful polling in these constituencies.
