Jack Rollins, celeb manager to Woody Allen, Robin Williams, dies at 100

Longtime comedy producer-manager Jack Rollins, who handled Woody Allen, David Letterman, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Lenny Bruce, has died aged 100 at his home in Manhattan.

A son of Russian immigrants, Rollins grew up in Brooklyn with his parents and two sisters, served in India during World War II and took a shot at Broadway producing before the club habitue came upon an unknown pop crooner named Harry Belafonte, Deadline.com reported.

Billy Crystal took it to his Twitter page to say "Jack Rollins one of managers has died. A true mentor to me, his words always rang true. Sad but grateful for our time together. #endofera."

 

Bob Weide added "It's incalculable how many lives & careers were impacted by Jack Rollins.I was looking forward to the next 100 years.
