A court in Egypt has overturned the convictions against former President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons over embezzlement and ordered a retrial.
According to BBC, Mubarak, along with his sons, was jailed in May for a term of three years over charges of fraudulently billing of 17 million dollars for personal expenses.
Egypt's top appeals court ordered a retrial after a brief session on Tuesday morning, announcing that the convictions against the three men for embezzlement have been overturned.
Earlier in November, a court in Cairo had dropped the case against Mubarak for involvement in corruption and killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising against his rule.
It was the last remaining case against the former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that has been overturned by the Egyptian court.
