Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who is under the hammer for his role in the alleged corruptions in the Delhi and District Cricket Administration (DDCA), on Monday filed criminal defamation case against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders.

Jaitley has filed criminal defamation cases against AAP leaders Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Kumar Vishwas, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpai in the Patiala House Court.

Earlier Jaitley said the allegations against him in connection with DDCA scam are baseless and devoid of truth.

"All these allegations are baseless and devoid of truth. For a total sum Rs. 114 crore, we made a stadium with a capacity of taking 42,000 people. Contrary to that, the Congress built the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium spending Rs. 900 crores. No one raised doubts on that expenditure, "Jaitley said in the Lok Sabha.

The Finance Minister had earlier filed civil defamation suit in Delhi High Court of Rs 10 crores against Kejriwal and other AAP leaders, amid a raging row over irregularities in the DDCA and allegations of corruptions against him by the Delhi Government.
