The students of Jamia Millia Islamia University on Sunday collected relief material and funds for the Jammu and Kashmir flood victims.
"We are trying to send maximum amount of medicines. We are asking for medicines. If people don't want to give money, they can give food, utensils and clothes," said Rubia Ahmed, a student of Jamia Millia Islamia University.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also sent a relief materials from New Delhi today for the flood victims.
BJP leader Satish Upadhyay promised to send more relief materials and volunteers.
"We will send more relief materials as per the demands we receive from there. In coming days, we will send our 50 workers, who are needed to serve people," he said.

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), JKS Rawat, earlier in the day said that the main priority is to rescue the people in the flood-affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also said that the rescue operations might come to an end within a span of two to three days.
The NDRF is continuing the relief and rescue operation in the flood-affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir. 22 'Urban Search and Rescue teams' of the NDRF comprising more than 1,000 rescuers and 150 boats and other life saving equipments are working relentlessly in the adverse conditions to provide immediate relief to the flood victims.
