Singer Janet Jackson's husband, Wissam Al Mana who is the managing director at his company Al Mana Interiors, is reportedly under fire for having terminated the employment of the Norwegian woman who was raped by a co-worker in Dubai on a business trip.

According to the US Magazine, Marte Deborah Dalelv has claimed that the company sacked her following her persecution on charges of having 'sex outside marriage'.

Dalelv was arrested when she reported the crime and later sentenced to a 16 month jail term while her attacker was sentenced to a 13 month jail term.

The report said that Dalelv claimed that after three weeks of reporting the incident to the police, she was told by her bosses that she was suspended from the job and received a termination letter signed by Al Mana for 'misconduct and breach of employment duties'.

However, Al Mana's spokesman said that the managing director had been 'sympathetic' to Dalelv and the company representatives have been supportive and in communication with her.

He added that it was only when Dalelv declined to have positive and constructive discussions about her employment status that the company was forced to terminate her employment and the decision had nothing to do with rape allegation, the report added.
