Janet Jackson is taking steps to expand her family by adopting a baby from Jordan or Syria with her husband Wissam Al Mana, it has been revealed.
A source has revealed to Us magazine that the 'Rhythm Nation' hitmaker is "quietly" looking in to the process of adopting a child from a third-world country.
The insider said that as she pretty much knows that pregnancy is not in the cards, she has been looking into adopting.
The source said that Jackson has been very moved by the events in Jordan and Syria, and though it is not clear when she will adopt, there has been movement on this.
According to the New York Post, the 47-year-old singer has reached out to Queen Rania of Jordan to help facilitate an adoption.
A source had told the publication that Jackson has always been concerned about the welfare of the world's children, and it's important to her that she gives a baby all the opportunities that she can afford.
