Japan Airlines to expand WIFI services

Japan Airlines will be expanding its in-flight WIFI services for customers.

Since 2012, Japan Airlines has been offering in-flight services with Boeing 777-300ERs.

The airline will start expand to include Boeing 767-300ERs and Boeing 787-8s Wi-Fi service in Europe, North America and long-haul Asia routes from March 3 under the theme "Embrace new Challenges".

The service will be applicable on Boeing 767-300ERs under which nine planes have been scheduled for the financial year 2015. For Boeing 787-8s, three planes are scheduled in financial year 2015.

The service will be continued for more Boeing 787-8s for the financial year 2016.

The new WIFI service is provided in every cabin in the flight in which the customer will be able to receive and send emails, update and navigate their social networking service (SNS) utilizing their wireless LAN devices on board.

 

The international in-flight service is chargeable.
