Be it electronics, apparels or pharmaceuticals - the demand of these lifestyle products are growing worldwide. The Japanese companies are now gearing up to tap the potential by introducing new products.

At the Live Entertainment and Event Expo in Tokyo, Audio Visual Communications Ltd. (AVC) showcased 4K ultra high definition LED system.

They combine 432 small units to make a 428-inch big screen. It requires great expertise to put together all units and make one big plain screen.

"We are focusing in ASEAN. We have already founded a branch office in China and are going to a new office in Bangkok, Thailand. Technologies progress so rapidly. So, we want to develop new technologies for ASEAN. We are hopeful for young energetic people to join our industry," said Shiro Honda, Department Manager, Audio Visual Communications Ltd.

Apparel manufacturing companies are also using cutting edge technology. RUB-LAB Inc. has introduced logo printing technique on T-shirts called Augmented Reality.

"These T-shirts were actually sold at an idol event. That AR showed an idol next to the T-shirts. I went there and demonstrated to the people waiting in a long line. I could hear the exclamation of fans. It was almost a cry of triumph because their favorite idol is standing next to them. Then many people gathered to see what's going on and the T-shirts were sold out," said Toshiyuki Nushiyama of RUB-LAB Inc.

Japan is also introducing many new healthcare products.

At the recently held Interphex Japan exhibition, A&D Company Limited introduced Electronic Pipettes which assures accuracy at all times and minimizes stress.

With this electronic pipette, it is possible to control the plunger by lightly pressing a key with the ball of the forefinger (like pulling a trigger), while maintaining all fingers in a natural, effortless grip.

"We have an interesting story behind this product. A young engineer in our company wanted to see the life of a battery. He asked the assistant to keep dispensing with this electronic pipette until the battery runs down. The engineer was rebuked by the superior for giving the reckless instructions. But the assistant said "no problem, it's really pain-free" after finishing the job. The assistant dispensed more than 3,000 times for over five hours," said Michihito Matsuura, Laboratory Project, A&D Company Limited.

Panasonic offers special freezers to contain medicinal chemicals or other materials.

The product attracted many visitors because it's CFC-free and eco-friendly for professional use.

"We offer many different products to the world. As one of the world's leading companies we think it's important to consider the effect on natural environment," said Youichirou Terai, Life science sales department, Panasonic Healthcare Co Ltd.

It is the first freezer that realises CFC-free and ultra low temperature of -80 degree.
