Jared Leto, who won the best supporting actor in the 86th Academy Awards, had the press room in splits after joking about letting the members of the media fondle his statuette.

The 42-year-old actor made Oscar press history after letting members of the media pass around his gold statuette backstage at the Academy Award ceremony, the Hollywood reported.

Leto asked the members if anybody wanted to try it out for size, asserting that they could fondle it if they wanted to.

He said that they could pass it around, but if anyone had swine flu, they shouldn't touch, adding that he could bet that this was the first time someone has given away their Oscar for an orgy in the press room.
