Former Sri Lankan explosive batsman Sanath Jayasuriya has expressed that he would love to see in-form batsman Kumar Sangakkara continue playing the one-day cricket for a few more years after the conclusion of the World Cup.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Sangakkara has been in a scintillating form as he became the first cricketer to score four centuries in a row in the World Cup.

Describing the rare feat as unbelievable, Jayasuriya said that it was one of the rarest things one could see, him playing four hundreds in a row, adding that he was lucky to be there to watch all four innings, Sport24 reported.

Jayasuriya further said that the wicketkeeper-batsman is still playing Test cricket but definitely he would love him to continue for a few years, adding that it was all in Sangakkara's hands.

Earlier, Sangakkara had announced that he would be retiring from the one-day internationals following the conclusion of the World Cup.

Sri Lanka will meet South Africa on Wednesday in the World Cup quarterfinal in Sydney.
