Janata Dal (United) leader K.C Tyagi on Monday said that 130 Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) will meet Governor K.N. Tripathi and ask him to let Nitish Kumar to take oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar.

"Lalu Pradav Yadav, Nitish Kumar, C.P Joshi, Sadanand Singh and 130 MLAs, we will parade at Raj Bhawan at 1:30 p.m. today and ask Governor to let Nitish Kumar to take oath as the Chief Minister and also ask for removal of Jitan Ram Manjhi," JD (U) leader K.C Tyagi told ANI.

"We will protest in Delhi and the budget session in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha may not happen so easily," he added.

Earlier on Sunday, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi maintained that he will continue to retain the top post till the legislative council in the state assembly decides otherwise, adding that he will take the support of anyone who supports him on the floor.

"I am the Chief Minister and will remain till the legislative party of the Janata Dal (United) decides otherwise. Decisions taken on the street have no constitutional validity and if such a decision is not taken in the state assembly, I will step down... [But] I will have no hesitation in taking support from whoever gives it to me on the floor," Manjhi said, speaking at the Bihar Niwas in the national capital.
