Jennifer Hudson has revealed how it was to play Winnie Mandela, former wife of Nelson Mandela in the film 'Winnie'.
The 32-year-old singer told Essence magazine that she was so nervous about doing a good job that she had started working on the accent a couple of months before she even got there.
Furthermore, she even had to leave her fiance, David Otunga and son David Jr. to go film in South Africa, ABC News reported.
Hudson even added that there always was the pressure to live up to the living legend as so much was done to suppress Winnie's voice, and therefore her story needed to be told.
