Jenny McCarthy recently took to Twitter to rebuff "blatantly inaccurate and completely ridiculous" rumors that she has admitted that her son Evan does not suffer from autism despite the fact that she has talked about her son's condition many times.

The 41-year-old actress tweeted that her 11-year-old son was diagnosed with autism by the Autism Evaluation Clinic at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital and was confirmed by the State of California, Us Magazine reported.

The 'View' co-host asserted that the implication that she has changed her position over her son's condition and that her child was initially diagnosed with Landau-Kleffner Syndrome, is both irresponsible and inaccurate.

The mum-of-one continued saying that such rumors cite her 'new' interview with Time Magazine, which was actually published in 2010, that never contained any such statements made by her.

McCarthy added that continued misrepresentations only serve to open wounds of the many families who are courageously dealing with the disorder.
