Jeremy Clarkson has revealed that a BBC executive insisted him to return to his former car show 'Top Gear', but he has turned down the offer stating that it would never work.

A source informed that the 55-year-old English broadcaster's relationship with BBC had broken down so, he couldn't come back and it's too late for him, the Mirror reported.

On the other hand, BBC's spokesman refused any such offer given Clarkson.

Notably, the former 'Top Gear' host was expeled by BBC director general Tony Hall after a string on-air controversial comments were overshadowed by a brawl with producer Oisin Tymon in a row.

Chris Evans was then handed the job shortly after Clarkson's conversation, but it is not known that contract he has been in negotiations with the company.
