Worldbeaters Rory McIlroy, Jessica Ennis-Hill and Jenson Button have won a new title after making advertising's TV Turkey Of The Year, according to reports.
According to Sky News, the trio of sporting stars saw their wooden acting help banking giant Santander pick up the award given by the industry for the worst TV commercials of 2013.
The campaign has been slated by critics, the report said.
It shows golfer Rory, 24, Olympic heptathlon winner Jess, 27, and Formula 1's Jenson, 33, surprising 'ordinary' people in their homes to tell them about the bank's 123 account, the report added.
According to the journal Campaign, which makes the award, Santander must take the blame for not using the big names properly, the report further said.
A confusing Typhoo tea ad with TV adventurer Ben Fogle, 40, also made the list, the report mentioned.
